We just couldn't help but feature this classic Roll Top Action Office Desk by George Nelson for Herman Miller. Oh yes, with its beautiful modern lines and hidden functionality, we are, of course, truly smitten!
Location, location, location

Location78, an über cool house in east London, has been designed and styled for photographic location hire. And yes, we have seriously considered hiring it out just so we can sit around on those amazingly sumptuous chairs, read a magazine or two by the fire and generally soak up the opulent atmosphere!

Loungin' around
Tuesday, 21 December 2010
The Baa Sheepskin Lounger has a tubular metal frame with a sheepskin and leather seat. It supports the body in a comfortable and relaxed position and, what's more, it looks pretty good too !
Console yourself
Monday, 20 December 2010
OK, so its not a chair, but we simply couldn't resist featuring this rather gorgeous 1950s console from Inside Room. With its cherry wood drawers, open compartment, white Formica surface and black metal base, this beautiful creature really is a stunner!

Milan mix
Saturday, 18 December 2010
We were strangely drawn to this dramatic apartment in Milan filled with an eclectic mix of chairs from Bauhaus to Eames, from Jacobsen to, to ....... that golden coloured chair ..... there, in the last photograph.

Nice
Thursday, 16 December 2010
Nice space. Nice decor. Nice chairs. Oh, and those sofas. Nice!
The Eames Sofa is the last piece of furniture produced by the Eames Office, which completed the design after Charles Eames died in 1978. It went into production in 1984 and has been manufactured by Herman Miller ever since. Charles and Ray Eames designed the sofa to complement their plush soft pad chairs; it stands as a graceful reminder of the honest genius of Charles and Ray Eames.

flying the flag
Tuesday, 14 December 2010
The Flag Line Halyard Lounge Chair by Hans Wegner is a thing of utter beauty consisting of seat, back and arm rests threaded with a 240 meter long unbroken piece of flag line. The line is made out of natural flax plaited around a core of static inlay strong enough to avoid unnecessary stretching over time. And if that wasn't enough detail for you, then how about this ..... it takes a craftsman approximately 14 hours to prepare the flag line and plait the chair. That'll be 14 hours well spent in our opinion!
