The other night, as we pondered the delights of the dessert menu at one of our favourite restaurants, we came across 'deconstructed' cheesecake; no explanation, just 'deconstructed' cheesecake. Not content with good puds being messed about with, we opted for the cheeseboard; you know where you stand with a cheeseboard, unless it contains goats cheese ........ but we digress. The connection we are attempting to make is HOWE. Based in Pimlico, HOWE stock quite unusual and ludicrously elegant pieces of deconstructed furniture, amongst other (delightful) things.
Take a little look at these beautifully crafted pieces upholstered using hand-stitched horsehair and pure down; each of them illustrating wonderfully the ingenuity and skill of the traditional upholsterer ...….
