Launched in September 2008, Tom Dixon by George Smith is a contemporary British upholstery brand that unites quality traditional manufacturing techniques and contemporary design.  The collaboration challenges the method of manufacturing contemporary shapes, pushing the boundaries, to develop an innovative product. Resolutely British; the collection celebrates the traditions of British upholstered furniture with each piece hand made by George Smith using long established techniques practiced for over 250 years.

  1. 11-28-2017 Your chairs are stunning! I have a chair very similar, but my chair has exposed wood around the bottom, the sides, the wings and the top, and the frame in the back is fully exposed. It is an original chair, not a knockoff, not deconstructed. I have owned it since 1978. My husband and I bought it from a junk dealer. We had it professionally reupholstered. It has a cushion which was filled with horsehair and straw. However, the upholstery man put some other kind of filler in the cushion and I don't know what he did with the horsehair and straw. I have not seen any other chairs with the same design as yours or mine, and am wondering if you have seen any like ours? Thank you for your time and consideration. Jeanie in Arkansas, USA
