'Rearranged' by designer Nicola Enrico Stäubli explores a new form of customisation. The project proposes an alternative to established design and, by diversifying the existing, it fulfils the need for new. Stäubli took the classic and versatile Eames side shell (since it had been conceived under the principle of adaptability) and designed a new series of bases. We're not convinced that these bases will ever prove competition for any of the original designs, but it's interesting to see an innovative take on such a well established classic.

Interesting but I still prefer the original ones :)
ReplyDeleteCiao!
Ditto, but the ideology behind this project is fascinating.
