We keep bumping into these chaps over on, you know, that well-known auction website. There's just something about them. Not sure what - but we'll take 'em both please! Designed by Rodolfo Bonetto for Driade in 1970, the 'Melaina' is a reworking of a traditional tub chair formed from a single piece of moulded fibreglass.

I saw these growing up at relatives home and I always liked them. They were white and I was so sad to know that they gave them away.
ReplyDeleteReally cool chairs! Back in the early 80s I had a brown plastic dining table with a glass top and matching chairs. They were just that color and of a similar style.
