Yes, the cording goes all through the tufting. This is a great piece-- from the 1930's, Denmark. It's retained it's wonderful shape due to it's construction-- hand tied spring coils with horse hair padding. Another interesting feature is the back of the sofa, which is unfinished. This was typical of upholstered pieces in the 1930's-- it was unimaginable that a sofa would go anywhere but up against a wall-- hence, the back is unfinished in the spirit of economy. --Danish Teak Classics.
