We thought it was just chairs, but it turns out it's stools too. After featuring some stunning vintage bar stools by Harry Bertoia a week or two ago, we've been on the hunt for bar stool, bar stools, bar stools - and no, we still haven't got the bar sorted out! These delightful 1950s bar stools designed by Frank Guille for Kandya in 1957 tick all the right boxes - from the plastic-coated steel frames to the laminated beech back rails . Chuck in some black vinyl - oh, and did we mention they're British too - and the drinks are on us!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. We must try harder!
Deletebig fan of franks work but i prefer the standard bar stools he did with the round iron rod foot rest around the base rather than the flat-bar steel to the sides and back (like in the pics) ...i guess that the flat bar was used for extra strength? or maybe to relate to the flat-bar back rest? anyway -great designer
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pointer, we'll have to look that one up.
